Brilliant diversity, spectacular performances and the biggest ceremony of the year - Mount Hagen Cultural Festival

PAPUA New Guinea's Mount Hagen Cultural Festival happens every August all year round since 1949. Since then it has always been an hit, famous and most colourful cultural festival ever in the world. 

Festival's Sherpa website describes the Mount Hagen Cultural Show as the most brilliant cultural diversity. The ABC News Channel Australia describes the festival as the most flamboyant and spectacular performances while the Skerah Papua New Guinea website thinks its a the biggest cultural ceremony of the year.

Villagers from all over the region come to showcase their costumes, music, dance and culture.
